Calcium Rich Foods:
The patient should include calcium-rich foods like milk, cheese, yogurt, almonds, and spinach in their diet. But again some people may have any allergic reactions to dairy products. In that case, the food supplements act as a saviour. Phosphorus is also important along with the calcium. Some phosphorus rich foods are fish, nuts, peanut butter etc.
Amount of Sodium:
Electrolytes are essential for our body and we generally do not run out of sodium. Sodium helps in a number of activities in our body like maintaining the water regulation and transporting the electrical impulse. But excessive intake of sodium can cause high blood pressure which leads to hypertension. A patient who suffered the surgery already has hypertension as a side effect of the medicines he/she took. Therefore, in their diet chart, the amount of sodium should be low.
