Bangalore has been an IT hub for more than a decade now. Most people go out of the city to seek a work opportunity here and settle down eventually. But apart from being a work hub, this city also has some beautiful places to visit. So, when in Bangalore, visiting these places is a must.

Bannerghatta National Park

This place is located 22 kilometres away from the city and it is a place which houses a huge variety of flora and fauna. It covers an area of 104.27 square kilometres and this national park was formed in the year 1971. This has the first butterfly park in India. Apart from that, it also has a reserve forest, a zoo, an aquarium, crocodile farm and a children’s park. One can go for a wildlife safari here to get a close look of the national park and get the essence of the forest life.

Lal Bagh

This is a botanical garden which is very much famous for its botanical artwork and it also deals with conservation of plants. This is a heaven for nature lovers and this garden covers an area of 240 acres. It houses 1854 different species of plants. This garden was commissioned in the year 1760 by Hyder Ali and later it was completed by his son Tipu Sultan. This place has a collection of rare plants which have Afghani, French and Persian origin. This is a major tourist attraction in the city.

Bangalore Lal BaghTipu Sultan’s Palace

This palace is placed inside the Tipu Sultan Fort. This was built in between the year 1781 and 1791 and this palace was named as ‘Rash e Jannat’ which means heaven or abode of happiness. Presently, this palace has been converted to a museum which is curate and maintained by the Archaeological Survey of India. This place has wooden columns and carvings which are a treat to watch.

Ulsoor Lake

It is one of the largest lakes in Bangalore and it sprawls over a huge area of 50 hectares. This was built by a Bangalore commissioner whose name was Lewin Bentham Bowring. It is dotted with a number of islands and this natural beauty has a lot of greeneries around. This place is very popular when it comes to weekend picnic expeditions and one can also go for a boat ride in the lake while watching the sun set in the horizon.

This is located in the central district region of Bangalore and it houses endless number of local shopkeepers who sells varieties of things. This is a perfect shopping destination for those who have come down to Bangalore. One can pick up things from varieties of price range and one can get anything and everything in this area. This is the ultimate place where you can shop till you drop.
